A body discovered in the Providence River not far from Brown University may be that of missing student Sunil Tripathi, who went missing last month.

The body was discovered around 6 p.m. by the coach of Brown's rowing team, which practices nearby.

Tripathi was last seen around 11 a.m. on March 16 at his apartment, where his cellphone, credit card and ID were found when police swept his room. His sister told investigators his glasses and a wool Philadelphia Eagles cap were missing.

Tripathi was briefly caught up in the search for the perpetrators of the Boston Marathon bombings last week when amateur sleuths on Reddit thought the they recognized Tripathi when the FBI released photos of the man who turned out to be Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
