Grady Hatton, former Astros manager, dies at 90

Grady Hatton passed away Thursday from natural causes in his home in Warren, TX. He was 90.

The Examiner reports that before becoming the Houston Astros' manager, Hatton played third base for the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, and St. Louis Cardinals over his 14-year career with MLB, starting in 1946.

He had a batting average of .254 and he hit 91 home runs with 533 RBIs in 1,312 games over his career.

Hatton died in Warren, a rural community in Tyler County, Texas where he lived for 40 years.
