Paul McCartney, Andrew Lloyd Webber top list of richest British musicians

With an estimated $1.05 billion fortune, Paul McCartney tops the Sunday Times Rich List of Britain's wealthiest musicians, followed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, U2 and Sir Elton John.

According to NME, the Beatles alumnus has remained in the top spot since 1989, when he was still only worth $123 million. As the vice president of an American transportation company, McCartney's wife, Nancy Shevell, is worth about $230 million.

With $46 million in the bank, Adele topped the paper's list of British musicians under 30, which also included Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis and Katie Melua.
