Oscar-nominated actor Bradley Cooper has traded in the wavy locks he wore throughout awards season for a decidedly more retro look. Photos from the set of David O. Russell's new film show Cooper sporting a set of tiny, corkscrew curls.
Cooper told E! News of his plans for a new 'do back in January, when he said he had tried perming his hair for a screen test with his "Silver Linings Playbook" director Russell.
"I permed my hair today," Cooper explained. "We did a camera test today and we were playing with the idea of [my character] having curly hair. Oh, yeah bro, like rollers in the hair!"
Cooper gave cameras a glimpse of his new look earlier this month, when he stepped out on the set of Russell's upcoming film, co-starring Jennifer Lawrence and Christian Bale, in tiny, pink rollers and a military jacket.
The untitled flick stars Cooper as an FBI agent who convinces two con artists to participate in the 1970s ABSCAM sting.
