Alameda County supervisors reward County Administrator Susan Muranishi with a wage of $423,664 a year -- for the rest of her life.

According to county records, Muranishi receives a base salary of $301,000. In addition, she receives $24,000 in "equity pay" to ensure she'll always make at least 10% more than everyone else, and another $24,000 as an annual performance bonus.

It doesn't stop there. She also receives about $54,000 per year in "longevity pay" for being with the county over 30 years, and another $9,000 per year for serving on the Surplus Property Authority, a three-person committee that oversees the sale of excess land.

Like other county executives, she receives a yearly car allowance of $8,292.

Muranishi, 63, has been with Alameda County for 38 years, and she is the highest-paid county administrator in California, SFGate reports.

And it won't stop at retirement. Muranishi’s annual pension will be equal to the total of her entire yearly package -- $413,000. On top of that, she has a private pension plan, to which the county contributes $46,500 a year.
