Duggars spend $614 on burgers, discuss China's one-child policy with TMZ

By KATE STANTON, UPI.com
The Duggar clan visited the Big Apple this week to announce the conception of yet another Duggar child and to promote their upcoming TLC special, "The Duggars Do Asia," an account of the family's cultural and culinary journey through Japan and China.

TMZ cameras caught up with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar outside Bill's Bar & Burger in New York City Monday, where the famously fertile couple had just bought $614 worth of American food to feed 23 people.

One of TMZ's reporters asked Jim Bob -- who has 19 children -- for his thoughts on China's one-child policy.

"We believe that every child is a special gift from God, but I guess in China they've made policies that even people who are pro-choice in America would be against," Jim Bob said.

"We believe in America in the freedom to choose what you want and over there it's not that way."
