[VIDEO] Josh and Anna Duggar expecting third baby

By KATE STANTON, UPI.com

The Duggars usually visit the "Today" show en masse to make major announcements about additions to their already surprisingly large family. They reappeared Monday morning to promote their upcoming TLC special, "19 Kids and Counting: Duggars Do Asia" and to share some big news.

Josh Duggar, the eldest of Michelle and Jim Bob's 19 children, is expecting a third child with his wife, Anna, the young couple said Monday. Josh and Anna had their first two children, Mackynzie and Michael, after marrying in 2008.

“No. 3 due on June 7,” Josh Duggar said on the show. “We’re very excited.”

"Josh and Anna are great parents," family patriarch Jim Bob told People. "It is neat to see their family expanding. I remember those days when Michelle and I went from one to three because we had Josh and then we had twins. It is a great start."

Josh and his 18 brothers and sisters have names that star with "J," but he was coy about whether he'd continue that tradition in his own family.

“We have Mackynzie and Michael, so we’ll let everybody wait and see," Josh Duggar said.

The Arkansas-based Duggar clan adheres to strict fundamentalist beliefs regarding birth control, raising children and modesty. Michelle Duggar has said that she and Jim Bob believe contraception caused her to have a miscarriage after the birth of her first son Josh.
