The Connecticut woman found dead with her two young grandsons Wednesday reportedly shot them and then herself.

Debra Denison, 47, reportedly picked up her 2-year-old and 6-month-old grandsons from daycare Tuesday and drove to a nearby golf course, killed the boys and then turned the .38 caliber handgun on herself, Connecticut State Police said, according to the Darien Patch.

Police issued an Amber Alert Tuesday night at 7:45 p.m. after receiving a call from the boys' mother, Brenda Perry, to report Alton, 2, and Ashton, 6 mo., missing.

The Amber Alert stated Denison had a history of bipolar disorder and medical conditions. Police were alerted to a car matching the description of Denison's white Chrystler with three injured people inside around 9:30 p.m. near Lake of Isles golf course. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

Christine Hare, the owner of Kidds and Co. daycare, said she had been notified to expect Denison to pick up her grandsons Tuesday, and had done so regularly in the past.
