Word was already out that Harrison Ford was set to reprise his iconic role as Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars sequel, and now it appears he won't be the only familiar face returning the the franchise. Mark Hamill said the creative team behind Episode VII is at least talking to him about picking up his lightsaber again.

"George [Lucas] wanted to know whether we'd be interested," Hamill told Entertainment Tonight. "He did say that if we didn't want to do it, they wouldn't cast another actor in our parts – they would write us out."
"I can tell you right away that we haven't signed any contracts," he clarified. "We're in the stage where they want us to go in and meet with Michael Arndt, who is the writer, and Kathleen Kennedy, who is going to run Lucasfilm. Both have had meetings set that were postponed -- on their end, not mine. They're more busy than I am."
Although Hamill didn't say it outright, his comments imply Carrie Fisher would be back too, along with himself and Ford. In any case, it's tough to imagine Luke and Han without Leia.
"Another thing I'd want to make sure of is are we going to have the whole gang back?" he said "Is Carrie and Harrison and Billy Dee and Tony Daniels, everybody that's around from the original [returning]? I want to make sure that everybody's on board here, rather than just one. I guess I'll have to tune into your show to figure out who's on board."
Hamill admitted he doesn't have any clue where George Lucas, director J.J. Abrams and new owners Disney might take the storyline.
His best guess? That the new trilogy will tackle the next generation of Jedi, leaving Luke, Leia and Han to take on a more "Obi Wan"-like role.
