An adventurous three-year-old girl from China's eastern Shandong province climbed into a washing machine to play and found herself unable to climb out again. According to The Sun, firefighters distracted the girl with candy while using saws and pliers to free her.
The washing machine, apparently becoming some kind of global menace for playful toddlers, also trapped a one-year-old New Jersey boy in May of last year. The young boy accidentally went for a spin in a laundromat's washing machine after his father closed the door without realizing he'd already filled it with money. After the shop's owner cut the power, the boy left the laundromat without any serious injuries.
