Sometimes all you need is a little financial incentive.

Paul Baier, a VP of Sustainability Consulting and Research at Groom Energy Solutions, signed a Facebook Deactivation Agreement with his 14-year-old daughter, promising to pay her $200 to deactivate her Facebook account for five months.

Baier posted the contract-of-sorts to his blog, Practical Sustainability, on Tuesday. As part of the agreement, Baier promised to pay Rachel $50 in April and another $150 in June. Rachel wrote that she planned to use the money for "stuff."

"It was her idea," Baier told the Daily Dot on Wednesday after his post went viral. "She wants to earn money and also finds Facebook a distraction and a waste of time sometimes."

If only everyone got paid to kick their bad habits.
