It's an unhappy holiday for Tony Stark, the playboy billionaire alter ego of Iron Man.

Iron Man 3, which premieres in May, sent out a holiday greeting that wasn't so merry.

Robert Downey Jr., who stars as Stark in the third installment of Marvel's blockbuster and Avengers films, spoke with Nuts magazine about filming of Iron Man 3, which wrapped earlier this month.

"I always said that while I'm physically able, I want to do all my own stunts in the movies that I make," Downey Jr. said. "I want the audience to sit there, thinking, 'was he really stupid enough to attempt that?'"

Downey Jr. described the movie as having a "dark feel," saying "it's a lot grittier and goes back to it's comic-book roots."
