The Duchess of Cambridge was on stage at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards to help hand out the honors with soccer star David Beckham.
But royalty or no, that didn't stop Olympic track star and British national hero Jessica Ennis from snubbing Princess Kate when she went up to receive her runner-up trophy for the evening's top prize. Watch:
In fact, it appears the awkward moment was simply an accident: Ennis likely didn't see Kate's hand, since the two ladies from chatting amicably afterwards.
