Poll: 47 percent of Americans now approve of Mitt Romney

It seems like so long ago that a certain video, in which Mitt Romney claimed 47 percent of Americans were dependent on the government, sent the governor's campaign into a tailspin.

But even with the election over, Romney's not-so-lucky number continues to haunt him. Ironically. Not only did the former Republican presidential candidate claim about 47 percent of the popular vote, a Politico/George Washington University Battleground Poll has found that 47 percent of Americans view him favorably.

The poll also found that 52 percent of voters approved of Barack Obama.
