Taylor Swift failed to win any of the awards she was nominated for at Thursday night's Country Music Awards (though she did receive a standing ovation for her quiet performance of "Begin Again"), but that didn't mean the show's hosts had to go easy on her. Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley began their set with a few jokes at the country darling's suspense (beginning at the 1:27 mark in the video below).

"Just look at sports, I can’t keep track of all these trades. The greatest trade of the year had to be the Kennedy family. They somehow traded Arnold Schwarzenegger for Taylor Swift," Paisley said.

“Are they ever gonna get back together?” Paisley added after Underwood reminded him that Swift had broken up with her Kennedy clan beau, Conor. “Never, never, never, never ever," Underwood joked, in reference to Swift's single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

Unfortunately for everyone on the internet, the CMA Awards cruel producers failed to capture Swift's reaction to the public digs.
