Claire Danes' awesome new catchphrase: 'Mandy Patinkin, holla'

"Mandy Patinkin, holla," Claire Danes said as she accepted her award for Best Actress in a Drama at Sunday night's Emmy Awards.

Danes' unusual shout-out to her "Homeland" co-star Mandy Patinkin (aka Inigo Montoya) became such a hit on social media that the venerable pop cultural anthropologists over at Gawker have even deemed it "the new Angelina Jolie's leg."

It feels real memey, but maybe that's just because this year's Emmys are duller than the Oscars, during which a person's leg stole the show. ... That said, surely no one's ever uttered the phrase, "Mandy Patinkin, holla," so Danes wins for achievement in linguistic innovation, as well.

The Twittersphere unleashed a barrage of responses to Danes' remark, with some calling out for the inevitable "Mandy Patinkin, holla" meme.

Some users, however, couldn't help but notice that Danes' guttural pronunciation of the word "holla," made it sound a lot like the braided bread eaten on Jewish holidays.
