Once you've conquered the swimming pool and the fashion world, where do you go next? Television, of course.

Swimmer Ryan Lochte, who has also expressed interest in appearing on "The Bachelor," will guest star on an upcoming episode of "90210" on the CW.

“When we found out Ryan Lochte was going to be in town and might appear on 90210, we felt like we'd won a gold medal!" "90210" producers Patti Carr and Lara Olsen said in a release.

"We only wish the episode was a surf event so we could have gotten him in the water, but he deserves a little rest on dry land," they added.

This will be Ryan Lochte's first-ever appearance in a television series, but he'll have plenty of former athletes to look to for guidance. Here's a look at several other sports stars who have taken a stab at the small screen.

Michael Strahan -- "Chuck"

Strahan, former defensive end for the New York Giants, guest starred in a 2008 episode of cult hit "Chuck," as the leader of a group of sporting goods store bullies called the Mighty Jocks.

Muggsy Bogues -- "Curb Your Enthusiasm"

Retired basketball player Bogues awkwardly found himself in the men's bathroom with Larry David and Richard Lewis in a 2008 episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

Keith Hernandez -- "Seinfeld"

New York Mets first baseman Keith Hernandez appeared as himself in an episode of "Seinfeld" as Elaine's love interest.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar -- "Scrubs"

Lochte could stand to take a few acting cues from former NBA star Abdul-Jabbar, who has appeared in everything from "Everybody Loves Raymond" to "21 Jump Street." In a 2006 episode of "Scrubs," Abdul-Jabbar as a "gift" to a hospital patient.

Chuck Liddell -- "Hawaii Five-0"

UFC champion Chuck Liddell guest starred on an episode of "Hawaii Five-0" to deliver a right hook to Alex O'Loughlin's McGarrett.

Michael Phelps -- "Saturday Night Live"

Last but not least, Michael Phelps strutted his Speedo in a mock promo for "Grey's Anatomy" during his 2008 hosting gig on SNL.
