Two suicide blasts kill at least 30

BAQUBA, Iraq, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Two suicide bombings in the northeastern Iraqi province of Diyala killed more than 30 people, police said.

A police official said the first suicide blast occurred when the attacker detonated the explosives in a group of the paramilitary force al-Sahwa west of Baquba, Kuwaiti news agency KUNA said. The victims included members of the paramilitary group and Iraqi regular forces.

Soon after the first explosion, another suicide bomber arrived in a booby-trapped car and set off his vehicle, targeting emergency personnel rendering aid, police said.

Members of al-Sahwa were outside an Iraqi army headquarters when the explosions occurred.
