PHILADELPHIA, July 27 (UPI) -- Rep. Bobby Scott of Virginia was scheduled to give a speech officially nominating Sen. Tim Kaine for vice president, but officials in charge of the Democratic National Convention canceled his speech for fear restive Bernie Sanders supporters would stage an angry interruption.
CNN reported that Scott's speech was scheduled to last three minutes. As Kaine's name was announced as the lone vice presidential candidate received cheers, but also some noticeable boos from delegates.
