WASHINGTON, July 2 (UPI) -- The United States will welcome more than 7,000 new citizens at dozens of naturalization ceremonies across the country during the Independence Day weekend, officials said.
Naturalized citizens must pass a 100-question civics test, prove proficiency in the English language and pass an FBI background check and in-person interview.
