NEW YORK CITY, N.Y., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- A four-alarm fire consumed a six-story apartment building early Tuesday, shooting flames through the roof of the building and shutting down area streets.

The fire in the Chelsea neighborhood of lower Manhattan ripped through the building about 3 a.m. It started on the fourth floor and quickly spread to the roof of the building, which was under construction.

No one was injured.

The building, The Dorian, is slated to house luxury condominiums, with lower-floor residences to being at $3 million and top-floor homes between $9 million and $10 million.

Contractors had filed for applications for the installation of a sprinkler system, but the application was still under review.
