ELK RIVER, Minn., May 26 (UPI) -- Rescue crews were searching the Elk River near a Minnesota campground for a 2-year-old girl who went missing Sunday morning, police said.

Daisy Jo Holland went missing while her mother and other adults were setting up the family's campsite at Wapiti Park Campground in Elk River, Minn., WCCO-TV, Minneapolis reported.

Hundreds of volunteers have searched the area for the girl, but police said later in the day they were moving the search to Elk River, WCCO said.

Elk River Police and the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office said conditions were safer later in the day to get boats and divers in the water. The Elk River is normally shallow, but recent rains have made the current strong, WCCO said.
