Woman who had sex with teens back in jail

HAYWARD, Calif., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- A California woman in prison for having sex with underage boys was arrested five days after her release for allegedly possessing pornography, officials said.

Christine Shreeve Hubbs, 44, was sentenced to five years in prison in 2011 for one count of unlawful sex with a minor and three counts of lewd acts with a child. Police said she had inappropriate contact with the two underage boys -- one of whom was dating her teenage daughter -- since they were as young as 14 years old between 2008 and 2010.

Officials released Hubbs from prison Feb. 10, but she violated the conditions of her parole by possessing pornography at her Hayward, Calif., home. State parole agents discovered the pornography Friday during a surprise compliance visit, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Tuesday.

Parole spokesman Fred Bridgewater said there was no indication the pornography involved underage subjects, but she is prohibited from possessing any type of pornography.

Meanwhile, police said they believe Hubbs' two children and their friends used Facebook to harass the woman's victims after her Friday arrest.

"We thought 2 1/2 years ago that this was done," said Livermore, Calif., police spokesman Steve Goard. "What we're puzzled most about is how her arrest suddenly made the two boys a target. ... We're curious if this was initiated by Christine. Did she call and tell her family, 'Hey, this is all the boys' fault, they should pay?' "

Hubbs is being held in Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, Calif., without bail, the Chronicle reported.
