KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 4 (UPI) -- Six months after 10-month-old Lisa Irwin disappeared from her home in Kansas City, Mo., her parents are struggling to live normally, their lawyer says.
John Picerno told The Kansas City Star that Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin continue to cooperate with the police investigation. He would not let the couple talk to the newspaper.
"It's been tough, and they struggle with it," Picerno said. "We are still actively searching for Lisa."
Irwin and Bradley say "Baby Lisa," as the child became known, was abducted from her bedroom. Their Web site, Findlisairwin.com, operates on the assumption the child was snatched either to be sold to someone who wanted a baby or to be brought up by the abductor.
It was closed for maintenance Wednesday but previously had a plea for help: "To the family of the abductors -- ATTENTION! All new Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles --You may be holding our daughter in your arms!"
Kansas City Police Capt. Steve Young said the disappearance is still being treated as an abduction. But he said police have no new information, although detectives continue to work the case.
"The leads are certainly not what they used to be," Young said. "The goal is to find out what happened and hopefully in the process, find the child."
