Obama's schedule for Monday, Jan. 9

WASHINGTON, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- President Obama honors the 2011 National Basketball Association champion Dallas Mavericks Monday, his daily schedule says.

The schedule indicates Obama will:

-- Receive the daily briefing with Vice President Joe Biden.

-- Meet with senior advisers.

-- Welcome the Dallas team and recognize the Mavericks' support of military personnel and their families.

-- Have lunch with Biden.

-- Attend a campaign event in Washington.
