WASHINGTON, May 3 (UPI) -- U.S. President Obama honors teachers of the year and discusses immigration issues with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Tuesday, the daily schedule indicates.

The schedule indicates Obama will:

-- Receive the daily briefing with Vice President Joe Biden.

-- Meet with senior advisers.

-- Recognize the 2011 National Teacher of the Year and state teachers of the year in the Rose Garden.

-- Conduct a Cabinet meeting.

-- Meet with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus to discuss the importance of fixing the nation's immigration system to meet 21st-century economic and national security needs.

-- Meet with Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Biden.
