STARKE, Fla., April 28 (UPI) -- The owner of a Florida tanning salon has been arrested for allegedly making secret videotapes of his customers, authorities said.

Doyce Dean Griffis, 47, of Starke, was arrested Tuesday and charged with making, printing or publishing computer pornography and voyeurism, the Gainesville (Fla.) Sun reported.

Officials are trying to determine who the victims may have been based on recordings seized when Griffis was arrested.

The tanning salon was in a barn behind Griffis' home, sheriff's Detective Kevin Mueller said, and customers paid $2 for 20 minutes in the tanning bed.

Police said Griffis confessed to filming female tanners through a two-way mirror as they undressed before getting into the tanning bed.

"I just like to look at pretty girls naked," Griffis told the Sun in a jailhouse interview. "And it got to a point where it got out of hand."

"The recordings were strictly for me," he said.
