DETROIT, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- An attorney representing the family of a slain exotic dancer says he will seek additional deposition testimony from former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.

Norman Yatooma said he plans to make a motion to continue Kilpatrick's testimony and also seek legal sanctions against his attorney, James C. Thomas, The Detroit News reported Wednesday.

Kilpatrick spent some five hours providing deposition testimony Tuesday for a civil lawsuit brought by the family of dancer Tamara "Strawberry" Greene.

Greene was shot to death in Detroit in 2003. Her family is suiting Kilpatrick and the city of Detroit charging her murder investigation was obstructed for political reasons.

Kilpatrick, who is serving prison time for a state probation violation, was brought to U.S. District Court in Detroit for the deposition.

He is currently awaiting trial in federal court on felony fraud and tax charges.
