"I'm not going to talk to you about my personal life," Kennedy said. "I have zero comment."

Police records in Bedford show Mary Kennedy called 911 on May 10. Officers who responded described her as "visibly intoxicated" and said she had trouble remembering why she had called for help.

She said her husband was being "verbally abusive."

On May 13, police came to the home again. Robert Kennedy reportedly told them his wife was drunk.

Two days later, Mary Kennedy was given a blood-alcohol test when she drove over a curb while driving to a carnival at St. Patrick's School. She was charged with drunken driving.

The couple married in 1994, soon after Kennedy's divorce from his first wife, and have four children. Kennedy is an environmental lawyer at Pace University in White Plains.
