LA PAZ, Bolivia, June 19 (UPI) -- Bolivian President Evo Morales says ailing Cuban leader Fidel Castro is "very well," despite undergoing numerous surgeries.
"I feel that he has undergone many operations, maybe more than 10 operations, but he is very well," said Morales, La Razon newspaper reported Monday.

The leftist Bolivian leader and close Castro ally speculated the Cuban president could even have undergone "more than 30 operations" since announcing his illness in July 2006.
The 80-year-old Castro appointed his younger brother Raul interim leader, though in recent weeks has appeared on Cuban television looking much improved from his still undisclosed gastro-intestinal illness.
