NEW YORK, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe blasted the GOP platform Monday, calling it a bonanza for special interests.
"The Republicans today ratified their special interest platform," McAuliffe said in a statement. "This is the same special interest platform that their primetime speakers don't agree with and you won't see highlighted during their convention as George Bush and Dick Cheney try to masquerade as moderates."

"If you really want to know what George Bush and Dick Cheney stand for," McAuliffe said, "read the platform."
The Democrats, believing the document to be politically damaging to the GOP, have committed to post the Republican platform on its Web site.
