Russian supply ship docks at space station

MOSCOW, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- An unmanned Russian cargo ship made a fully automated rendezvous and docking Saturday with the orbiting International Space Station, ITV.com reported.

The vessel brought 6,000 pounds of supplies to the outpost 225 miles above Earth.

The cargo will re-supply the station's two-man crew --Expedition 9 Commander Gennady Padalka and flight engineer Michael Fincke of the United States.

The supplies, which include food, equipment, experiments, clothing and other materials, will also be used by the crew that is scheduled to arrive in October.
