Ex-Gen. Clark seeks funds to campaign

WASHINGTON, June 24 (UPI) -- Former John Kerry foe Gen. Wesley Clark is enlisting his political arm, WesPAC, to raise funds over the Internet to help Clark beat the bushes for Democrats.

The retired Army commander, who won only the Oklahoma primary in his bid for the Democrats' 2004 presidential nomination, attracted a significant following during his run.

He is now asking those supporters to finance his campaign efforts on the part of Democratic candidates, including Kerry, whom he endorsed in February when he ended his quest.
