Linebacker Rolando McClain re-signed with the Dallas Cowboys, agreeing to a one-year deal on Wednesday.

McClain can earn up to $5 million in 2016, his third season in Dallas in a continued resurrection of a career that appeared over in 2013. He sat out the entire 2013 and appeared retired twice.

The eighth overall pick in the 2010 draft by the Oakland Raiders, McClain was traded to the Baltimore Ravens but walked away contemplating retirement. The Cowboys brought in McClain via trade in 2014, and he found a home in Rod Marinelli's defense.

Suspended the first four games of 2015, McClain finished last season with 97 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and two sacks.

The Cowboys will have McClain available for the full offseason program for the first time since he joined the team. Last summer, McClain was recovering from surgery and was limited until training camp.
