John Mayberry Jr. had three extra- base hits, including a three-run homer, and the Phillies completed a three- game sweep of the San Diego Padres with a 7-3 win in rainy Philadelphia.

Reid Brignac, the hero from Wednesday night, came off the bench and broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run double in the sixth for the Phillies. Mayberry then provided some insurance with his seventh-inning blast.

Philadelphia starter Kyle Kendrick (2-6) overcame a rough first inning to pitch six frames.
