NBA: Phoenix 106, San Antonio 85

PHOENIX, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- The Phoenix Suns scored 32 points in the fourth quarter Friday to nail down a 106-85 thumping of the visiting San Antonio Spurs.

Markieff Morris scored 21 points in a nearly wire-to-wire win for the rising Suns over one of the elite squads in the NBA.

Channing Frye added 17 points to the Suns score sheet and Ish Smith scored 15. The Phoenix bench outscored the Spurs reserves 60-34.

Phoenix won its third game in a row and closed out San Antonio's three-game winning string.

Danny Green led San Antonio with 15 points and Tim Duncan scored 13. Spurs super-sub Patty Mills' scoring streak off the bench collapsed with a woeful 2-for-14 performance from the field.

The Spurs as a team shot 34.9 percent from the field and hit just 2-of-21 from 3-point range.
