Jimmy Walker reaches Top 25 in golf rankings

VIRGINIA WATER, England, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Jimmy Walker's third PGA tour win in four months moved him into the Top 25 of the men's world golf rankings.

Walker won the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, holding on despite a shaky finish Sunday. It was his third title on the tour. The first was in October at the Frys.com Open and the second was a month ago at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

He started 2013 ranked 117th was No. 63 just before the Frys.com win. The victory at Pebble Beach pushes him to 24th in the rankings, up 11 spots in a week.

George Coetzee claimed his first European Tour win at the Joberg Open and goes from 74th to No. 59 in the rankings.

There is minor jostling this week in the Top 10. Rory McIlroy edges ahead of Zach Johnson for the No. 6 spot, leaving Johnson seventh; and Sergio Garcia moves ahead of Matt Kuchar for eighth, forcing Kuchar to ninth.

This week's schedules have the PGA Tour in Los Angeles for the Northern Trust Open and the European Tour back in South Africa for the Africa Open.
