NBA: Chicago 96, San Antonio 86

SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Jimmy Butler led seven Chicago players in double figures Wednesday and helped the Bulls dominate the second half in surprising San Antonio 96-86.

The Spurs have lost three in a row for the first time this season and have dropped four of five.

San Antonio played without guard Manu Ginobili, who could be out for a month with a strained hamstring. Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard and Tiago Splitter, all part of the group that helped carry the Spurs to the NBA finals a season ago, are also out of action.

Chicago opened as much as a 14-point lead in the fourth period after owning a seven-point advantage heading into the final quarter.

Butler scored 19 points, Carlos Boozer had 16 and both D.J. Augustin and Taj Gibson had 15.

San Antonio came up with 20 points from Tony Parker and 17 points along with 12 rebounds from Tim Duncan.
