NBA: Chicago 94, Boston 82

CHICAGO, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Joakim Noah came within one assist of a triple-double Thursday in leading Chicago to a 94-82 victory over Boston.

Noah had 17 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists to help the Bulls pull away in the fourth quarter. Chicago is five games below the .500 mark, but the Bulls boosted their home record to 8-7.

Carlos Boozer had 16 points and Luol Deng had 14 for the Bulls, who made only 41 percent of their field goal tries and went 2-of-15 from 3-point range.

Boston shot no better from the field and also turned the ball over 19 times. Jordan Crawford had 22 points for the Celtics.
