NBA: Toronto 85, Chicago 79

CHICAGO, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Jonas Valanciunas scored 15 points and Kyle Lowry added 13 in the Toronto Raptors' 85-79 road win over the Chicago Bulls on New Year's Eve.

Lowry also had six assists in the victory, which extended Toronto's hot streak to five wins in their last six contests.

Toronto trailed 62-57 at the end of the third quarter but opened the final period with an 18-4 run that put them in the driver's seat. The Raptors outscored Chicago 28-17 in the fourth quarter.

Chicago, which has lost six of its last nine games, was led by Luol Deng's 16 points and 15 from Jimmy Butler.
