NBA: Philadelphia 111, Los Angeles Lakers 104

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Thaddeus Young and Evan Turner combined for 47 points Sunday and Philadelphia snapped a 13-game road skid with a 111-104 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Young accounted for 25 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. Turner notched 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Michael Carter-Williams' basket with 8:22 left in the third quarter ignited a 19-4 run that allowed the 76ers to win on the road for the first time since the second game of the season.

Spencer Hawes contributed 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists for Philadelphia, which forced 20 turnovers and held the Lakers to an anemic 36.9 percent shooting from the floor.

Nick Young came off the bench to score 26 points for Los Angeles, which stumbled to a fifth straight loss.
