NBA: Los Angeles Lakers 96, Memphis 92

MEMPHIS, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol each struck for 21 points Tuesday, boosting the Los Angeles Lakers over slumping Memphis 96-92.

Bryant connected on 9-of-18 shots and Gasol hauled down nine rebounds for Los Angeles, which was coming off a 114-110 loss to Atlanta Monday.

Nick Young provided 18 points off the bench.

The Grizzlies fell for the sixth time in seven games despite 18 points, 16 rebounds and five assists from Zach Randolph.
