NBA: Portland 108, Brooklyn 98

NEW YORK, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- LaMarcus Aldridge put in 27 points Monday and streaking Portland rallied from a slow start to notch a seventh straight win, 108-98 over Brooklyn.

The Trail Blazers surrendered 40 points to the Nets in the first quarter, but slowly chipped away as Brooklyn went cold in the second half and finally forged ahead with a 9-0 run in the third quarter.

Wesley Matthews contributed 24 points and Damian Lillard chipped in with 19 and nine assists.

Mo Williams came off the bench to notch 12 points.

Shaun Livingston, subbing for the injured Deron Williams, netted 23 points for Brooklyn.

Kevin Garnett supplied 16 points and eight rebounds.
