NBA: Denver 111, Los Angeles Lakers 99

DENVER, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Timofey Mozgov equaled a career best with 23 points Wednesday in boosting Denver to a 111-99 decision over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Denver benefited from the return of Wilson Chandler and posted back-to-back victories for the first time this season. Los Angeles fell to 1-4 on the road.

Mozgov came off the bench to hit 8-of-12 shots from the field while Kenneth Faried added 21 points and 13 rebounds. Ty Lawson pitched in 19 points and Chandler had 12 in his season debut.

Chandler suffered a hamstring strain in training camp and had not appeared since.

Denver pulled away in the fourth quarter after taking a four-point lead into the final 12 minutes. The Nuggets pulled down 23 offensive rebounds.

Los Angeles was led by Pau Gasol with 25 points Jordan Hill had 18 points and 15 rebounds.
