DETROIT, June 17 (UPI) -- Max Scherzer improved to 10-0 with six innings of one-run ball Monday and the Detroit Tigers hung a 5-1 defeat on Baltimore.

The right-hander, who has logged 116 strikeouts over 96 1/3 innings this season, fanned at least 10 batters for the fifth time this season.
