MLB: San Francisco 8, Colorado 6

DENVER, May 17 (UPI) -- A two-run single by Angel Pagan in the sixth inning put San Francisco in front Thursday and the Giants rallied from a six-run deficit to defeat Colorado 8-6.

The Rockies scored three times in both the second and third innings with all the runs coming on homers by Todd Helton, Nolan Arenado and Wilin Rosario.

San Francisco got back in the game with a five-run fourth that featured a three-run double by Brandon Crawford and then took the lead in the sixth.

Hunter Pence and Brandon Belt singled to start the sixth off Jhoulys Chacin (3-3) and Gregor Blanco delivered the tying run with a sacrifice fly. Pagan's two-run single came off Adam Ottavino with two out.

The comeback made a winner out of San Francisco starter Matt Cain (3-2), who gave up six runs on eight hits in 6 1/3. Sergio Romo struck out two in a perfect ninth inning for his 13th save.

San Francisco snapped a two-game skid.
