BARCELONA, Spain, April 24 (UPI) -- Top-seeded David Ferrer was beaten Wednesday but defending champion Rafael Nadal advanced at the Barcelona Open tennis tournament.
Dmitry Tursunov had three breaks in each the first and third sets of a 7-5, 3-6, 6-1 second-round win that eliminated Ferrer. The third break in the first set ended a seesaw set but Tursunov lost only 11 points overall in sweeping through the third set.
