VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 3 (UPI) -- Daniel Sedin scored the go-ahead goal in the second period Saturday and the Vancouver Canucks went on to cool off Los Angeles 5-2.
Sedin's tally off an assist from twin brother Henrik with 5 minutes left in the middle frame broke a 2-2 tie and was quickly followed by a Jannik Hansen score, sending the Canucks on their way to the victory.
Hansen, Dan Hamhuis and Mason Raymond each finished with a goal and an assist as Vancouver snapped a two-game skid.
Chris Higgins also found the net while Cory Schneider turned aside 28-of-30 shots for the Canucks.
Jordan Nolan and Justin Williams each scored as the Kings saw their five-game winning streak come to an end.
Jonathan Quick made 19 saves in the loss.
