COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Alex Tanguay scorched a slap shot past Sergei Bobrovsky 67 seconds into overtime Thursday to give Calgary a 4-3 win over Columbus.

The Flames have won back-to-back games for the first time this season. The Blue Jackets have dropped two straight.

Vinny Prospal scored the final regulation goal with 9 minutes left to lift Columbus into a 3-3 tie. It was the first goal Columbus had scored since midway through the first period, when Mark Letestu gave the Blue Jackets a 2-1 lead.

Mikael Backlund tied it for Calgary with the only second-period goal and Lee Stempniak's power-play goal gave the Flames a 3-2 lead 8:33 into the third.

Leland Irving, starting in place of the injured Miikka Kiprusoff, made 26 saves to pick up the victory. It was Irving's second start of the season and he has won both of them.

Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 30 shots.
