NBA: Dallas 103, Washington 94

WASHINGTON, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Vince Carter went 9-for-14 from the field en route to 23 points Tuesday and the Dallas Mavericks rallied past Washington 103-94.

O.J. Mayo (15 points, five assists) and Darren Collison donated (15, eight) also had big nights Dallas, which had trailed by 14 points in the second quarter.

Chris Kaman contributed 12 points with seven rebounds and Sean Marion donated 11 and 14 as the Mavs grabbed control of the contest by outscoring the Wizards 35-19 in the third quarter.

Washington, meanwhile, fell for the 10th time in 11 games despite 22 points from Bradley Beal.

Emeka Okafor provided a double-double of 14 points and 11 boards in the loss.
